FIELD: geophysical exploration.
SUBSTANCE: method concludes in preparing armor, connecting cable conductors and laying wires of armor. Wires have to be uncoiled to meet the lay. Wires of lower and upper lays are imposed to achieve the same mutual disposition as in cable. Each wire of one cut should match another cut in length. Opposite ends of wires of lower lay are cut to keep gap of 2,5-3 mm. Wires of upper lay of armor are placed in overlap. One end of cable is rotated opposite to lay until achieving overlap of ends of opposite wires. Ends of wires are welded together. After wires are welded the welded joints can be imposed to thermal treatment. Wire overlap of upper lay can equal to 1.5-2 mm.
EFFECT: improved labor productivity; improved quality of laying.
