FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves cutting congenital embryo membrane from iris using combined Argon+YAG-laser treatment and YAG laser intracapsular phacodestruction of calcificates and consolidated conglomerates of masses; carrying out anterior YAG laser capsulotomy using continuous circular frontal capsulorhexis not greater than 5 mm in diameter that is started from the lower segment, aspiration-irrigation removal of congenital interpupillary membrane excised with laser, membrane of anterior capsule excised with laser and crushed and homogenized lens masses. Posterior capsule is essentially retained even in the cases of its central intensive congenital opacity. Postponed posterior capsulotomy with anterior vitreolysis is carried out using YAG laser method. First, anterior YAG laser vitreolysis is carried out without opening posterior capsule (that is before posterior capsulotomy). Optimum time for making the delayed laser operations is determined from immunologic test data (the cases the tissue-specific immune response level is favorable).
EFFECT: enhanced optic and functional effectiveness of surgical treatment; avoided vitreous complications; reduced risk of traumatic complications; complete removal of lens mass; high probability of retaining posterior capsule.
