METHOD OF SELECTING YAG-LASER IMPACT IN SYNDROME OF PRIMARY PERSISTENT VITREOUS HUMOR IN CHILDREN Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61F9/08

Abstract RU 2666688 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely, to ophthalmology. Choice of YAG-laser action in the syndrome of the primary persistent vitreous humor in children is carried out depending on the type of fixation of the vitreal band to the posterior capsule of the lens. With point fixation, the band is cut at 1.5–2.0 mm from the posterior capsule of the lens by the method of single pulses with subsequent displacement of the band to the periphery by the shock wave method with the help of defocused radiation. When the band is fixed to a capsule with an area of no more than 2 mm, a cruciform dissection of the posterior capsule of the lens is made in the zone of fibrous changes, displaced to the periphery of the flaps formed and fixed to one of them, the vitreal band by the shock wave method with the help of defocused radiation. When the band is fixed to the posterior capsule with an area of more than 2 mm, an annular excision of the posterior capsule is performed, with the displacement of the excised fragment to the periphery by means of defocused radiation. To sect/dissect the vitreal band, laser radiation with a pulse energy of 1–6 mJ is predominantly used, and defocused radiation with an energy of 1.0–2.0 mJ and a pulse number of 20–200 is used to move the sected/dissected band.

EFFECT: method provides an antitraction and optical effect for the prevention of retinal detachment and further development of phthisical eye due to the use of optimal methods of YAG laser treatment, based on the evaluation of the area of fixation of the vitreal band to the posterior capsule of the lens.
