FIELD: machine engineering, possibly processes and equipment for finishing inner surfaces of openings of parts by means of abrasive and surface plastic deforming.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of mounting on mandrel grinding wheel having separate diamond-abrasive beams secured to outer surface of tore like elastic envelope; arranging along the same axis cylindrical housing with closed groove in which deforming members are arranged one near another; simultaneously realizing intermittent abrasive working and surface plastic deforming. It is possible to restore outer diameter of worn grinding wheel due to supplying compressed air into elastic envelope according to condition of arranging working surface of wheel in the same tangent plane with deforming members.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency, improved grinding quality, increased useful life period of wheel without readjustment, possibility for restoring outer diameter of grinding wheel during tool operation.
