FIELD: machine engineering, possibly effective finishing of round and flat surfaces of blanks of different materials having tendency to occurring flaws such as burnings and micro-cracking.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of imparting to blank and to combination tool rotation motions and feed motion along worked surface; using needle-abrasive-diamond tool with axial shifting in direction of lengthwise feed of working surfaces of grinding disc and needle tool. Grinding disc and needle tool are mounted on mandrel with use of fastening means in the form of four tapered washers, two washers at side of each end of tool. Said disc and tool are mounted with possibility of rotation in plane passing through axis of combination tool for further fixation according to condition of arranging their working surfaces in the same tangent to them plane.
EFFECT: enhanced strength and quality of tool, improved efficiency due to multiple restoration of initial diameter of tool and working at intensive cutting modes.
