FIELD: fish husbandry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for analyzing surface layer of liquid, particularly, to devices for collecting substances from liquid surface at low concentration of such substances. Device can be used to determine presence of fish of definite species by their excretions. Proposed device has conical vessel lowered by wider part into liquid and covered from bottom with gauze and changing in upper narrowing part into cylinder into which removable capillary tube is inserted. With device lowered into liquid to be tested, surface layer of liquid concentrates, in upper narrowing part of conical vessel and gets into capillary tube. Said tube, after filling up, is taken out, and its content is analyzed. Device can be made with changeable position of capillary tube in vertical, making it possible to reveal presence of definite substances in liquid at a distance from its surface.
EFFECT: facilitated collecting and analyzing of substances.
