FIELD: electrical engineering; power supplies for gas-discharge lamps noted for high power factor.
SUBSTANCE: in order to ensure maximal coincidence between waveforms of input current and supply voltage and to eliminate output voltage dip, filter capacitor 2 connected to power leads of series-interconnected transistors of dc-to-ac voltage converter is additionally charged during both switching half-cycles. Charge current of capacitor 2 is controlled by means of choke 9 supplied with energy of second capacitor 5 during switching period of transistor 6. During switching of transistor 7 capacitor 5 is charged through choke 3 and capacitor 2, through choke 9 and diode 8.
EFFECT: reduced input power and enhanced power factor of device.
