DRILL FOR SOWING OF GRASS SEEDS Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular, sowing of small seed crops.

SUBSTANCE: drill has frame mounted on carrier-drive wheels, seed box, seeding units, transmission mechanism, group regulator for regulating of depth of advancement of seeding sections. Seeding sections are composed of carriers pivotally fixed on frame. Furrow forming rollers and advancement depth regulating mechanisms comprising bars and springs are mounted on carriers. Cylindrical heads with seed distributing trays are connected with seed guides and mounted on carriers. Chain sweeps are positioned behind seeding sections in axially aligned relation with respect to furrow forming rollers.

EFFECT: improved uniformity of seed distribution over width of row owing to optimal arrangement of seeds on furrow bottom and provision for uniform seed embedding depth.
