FIELD: amateur and sports fishing.

SUBSTANCE: proposed spinning reel has bracket to be fastened on fishing rod on which housing with reduction gear secured. Driving gear of reduction gear is connected with rotary handle. Spool for fishing line, mechanically connected with output member of reduction gear and installed for turning through 90^o relative to axis of fishing rod, is also mounted on bracket. In first position, axle of rotation of spool is parallel to axis of fishing rod, and in second position axle of rotation of spool is square to axis of fishing rod. Spool is connected with outlet member of reduction gear through disconnector of kinematic coupling. Spool is installed for rotation of shaft in separate housing which is coupled with housing for reduction gear for turning around axle mounted on housing for reduction gear over axle of rotation of reduction gear output member and at a distance from axles of rotation of reduction gear output member and spool and arranged at angle of 45^o relative to axles of spool and reduction gear output member to provide turning of spool housing through 90^o relative to axle of rotation of reduction gear output member.
