FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves determining distance from lesion focus center projected upon skin to sagittal median line. Then, distance from the projection to the superior orbit edge and/or occipital tubercle is determined in sagittal plane scans. The obtained coordinates are transferred to patient head surface. The neoplasm center projection point is determined as point of intersection of two perpendicular coordinates of the pathological focus. To determine distance from neoplasm center skin projection point to sagittal line and/or occipital tubercle, perpendiculars are drawn to tangential plane of calvarium from pathological focus and the envelope is divided into a number of areas.
EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of surgical treatment; high accuracy in localizing lesion focus.
