CRANIOTOMY TECHNIQUE ACCOMPANYING CEREBELLOPONTINE ANGLE TUMOUR Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC A61B17/00

Abstract RU 2540165 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: four-sided figures are plotted through the bone guides - asterion, inion, opisthion and a base of mastoid bone. If a distance of the opisthion and the base of the mastoid bone is 57-60 mm, and a distance of the inion and opisthion is 34-38 mm, a mill hole is marked within a cross point of diagonal lines of the four-sided figure. A bottom occipital trephination follows. If a distance of the inion and opisthion is the same, while a distance of the opisthion and the base of the mastoid bone is 74-77 mm, the mill hole is marked in the cross point of diagonal lines between the asterion and opisthion with a perpendicular line from an outer quarter of the distance of the opisthion and the base of the mastoid bone with the lateral direction of the trepanation manipulation, including adjoining departments of petrous segment of the temporal bone. If a distance of the opisthion and base of the mastoid bone is 65-69 mm, while a distance of the inion and opisthion is 29-33 mm, the mill hole is marked at 1cm to the outside from the cross point of diagonal lines of the four-sided figure and the trepanation is directed laterally upwards to expose transverse and initial portions of the cribriform sinus. If a distance of the opisthion and base of the mastoid bone is the same, while a distance of the inion and opisthion is 39-43 mm, the bone is resected around the mill hole upwards to the transverse sinus and laterally to the posterior base of the mastoid bone.

EFFECT: method enables reducing intraoperative injuries and length.
