FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with treating acute inflammatory orbital diseases in children by penetrating orbital cavity followed by rinsing retrobulbar space. Moreover, the above-mentioned penetration should be performed due to puncturing in with a puncture needle either in superior-external or superior-internal orbital sectors. Along needle's canal it is necessary to apply a catheter up to pathological focus. The second catheter should be installed similarly in opposite orbital angle. One should rinse retrobulbar space due to simultaneous irrigation and aspiration while applying antiseptic solutions followed by introducing medicinal preparations. Finally, at the end of operation, catheters should be covered with sterile valves to be kept in orbital cavity for repeated manipulations. The present innovation enables to shorten the time for operation and narcosis, avoid cosmetic defect and provide low traumaticity at puncturing.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of therapy.
