FIELD: chemical industry; synthesis of extra-hard materials.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is dealt with devices for creation of high pressure and temperature and may be used for synthesis of extra-hard materials, such as diamonds and cubic boron nitride, and also for a sintering of polycrystals on their basis. Substance of the invention: the high-pressure and temperature device contains two coaxially installed lower dies with central recesses on their facing each other butts, an installed in the recesses container for placement of samples, and a coupling, which envelopes the container. Its volume (VM) is selected with allowance for the following dependence: VM = KDY, where K - 70...150 - a constant of proportionality, mm2; DY - a diameter of a recess, mm. At the expense of optimization of the geometrical parameters of the coupling it is possible to achieve reduction of the effort necessary for creation of the preset high-pressure and to decrease consumption of the material, out of which the couplings are produced.
EFFECT: the invention allows to reduce the effort to create the preset high-pressure and to decrease consumption of the material used for manufacture of the couplings.
