FIELD: production of superhard materials.

SUBSTANCE: device comprises two hard alloy punches that are interconnected with steel supporting and locking rings provided with spaces. The faces opposite each other are provided with central hollows and surfaces from the central hollows to the edges of the punches are shaped. The central hollows receive the container with a specimen and heating member mounted between the shaped surfaces of the punch. The shaped surfaces of the punches are made of a set of ring steps arranged from the central hollow to the periphery. The steps are made of ring areas conjugated with the ring slopes. The size of the ring areas increases from the center to the periphery. The angle between the first slope and the second area ranges within 145°-160°. The angle between the second slope and third area ranged within 115°-130°, and the angle between the third slope and fourth area ranges within 125°-150°. The second third, and fourth areas are inclined to the plane perpendicular to the axis of the punch. The ratio of the ring areas to the width of the slopes and depth of the central hollow to its diameter ranges from 1:1 to 5:1 and from 0.15:1 to 0.2:1, respectively. The height of the locking rings is greater than that of the supporting rings. The faces of the locking rings that face each other are provided with ring spaces whose height is bounded with the faces of the locking rings. The height of the locking rings in this part is equal to the height of the punch side . The ration of the outer diameter of the spaces to the diameter of the punches ranges from 1.3:1 to 1.5:1. The space receives a ring made of a flexible-plastic material. The container is sectional, and its central part is made of a material characterizing by lower compressibility factor than the material of the peripheral part of the container.
