FIELD: transport engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to propulsive devices of vehicles designed for moving across rough terrain and soils with low load-carrying capacity. Proposed pneumatic crawler propulsive device has power platform with two transmitting rolls, pneumatic envelope, excess pressure source and roll drive. Load platform with transmitting rolls is placed inside envelope under excess pressure providing movement of vehicle owing to rolling of transmitting rolls over inner surface of envelope. Invention provides propulsive device of new type making it possible to increase considerably load-carrying capacity and improve cross-country capability of vehicle, moving along rough terrains and soils of low load-carrying capacity.
EFFECT: improved operation reliability.
