Abstract RU 2240438 C1

FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines.

SUBSTANCE: proposed air cleaner has housing accommodating filtering element made of plastic material. Housing is provided with inlet branch pipe, cover and outlet branch pipe. Flame arrester is installed in outlet branch pipe. Flame arrester is made in form of gauze roll, drop-like in cross sections, with narrowed part orientated along air flow and pointed to side of outlet hole of outlet branch pipe. Invention improves reliability and increases service life of air cleaner owing to drop-like shape of cross section of flame arrester, thus providing more smooth rise of aerodynamic resistance at interaction with front of backfire at considerable increase in area of interaction of split flame with walls of outlet branch pipe.

EFFECT: improved reliability and increased service life of air cleaner.
