FIELD: measuring equipment engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method includes probing controlled material by signal of infrared range. Impulses reflected from surface of controlled material and from base surface are received. Energetic light levels of surfaces of controlled material and base are measured. Thickness of controlled material is determined from relation of measured energetic light levels of surfaces of controlled material and base from relation from invented formula.
EFFECT: higher precision.
