FIELD: non-destructive control technologies.
SUBSTANCE: device has body with three apertures, in which ultrasound converters, spring-loaded along whole axis, are mounted, connected by radio-frequency cable to signals converter, and providing for concurrent measurement of time delays for reflected impulses of ultrasound waves from controlled portion. One of these has longitudinal polarization of emitted ultrasound wave, and the other two have transverse polarization of emitted ultrasound wave in mutually perpendicular planes. Also, a thermal sensor is made in the body, which is used for determining temperature correction value for time delays of ultrasound wave impulses reflected from controlled portion.
EFFECT: higher precision.
