FIELD: measuring equipment, applicable for measurement of muzzle velocity and kinetic energy (total and specific) of the shell of any propelling weapon: firearm, pneumatic, gas, gas cylinder, spring-actuated.

SUBSTANCE: the device has photoelectric transducers-recorders of light flux breaking by a shell, device for measurement of time interval between output signals of photoelectric transducers, logical analyzer, device for input of the values of the shell mass and diameter, computer, indicator of computed parameters and a shell flight electronic simulator meter, having a standard time interval setter, whose input is connected to the logical analyzer via a delay unit, and the output - to the electronic switches cut in the circuit of illuminators of the photoelectric transducers with a standard interval of the setter connected to the meter computer via a correction unit.

EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of measurements and continuity of monitoring of functioning of the principal units of the meter in the process of its operation.
