SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ground tests, particularly for determination of ballistic characteristics of projectiles. Method for determining the dependence of the ballistic characteristics of projectiles on the shooting conditions, which consists in the formation of n-measuring fields in the form of two-dimensional grids based on the design of non-contact sensors in the form of two rulers of radiators and photodetectors located in the vertical and horizontal planes, determination of the velocity and coordinates of the flight of projectiles relative to the measuring fields on the basis of fixation of the moments and triggered combinations of the elements of the photodetector matrices, determination of nutation angles on the basis of measurement of the main elements of the projectile motion relative to the center of mass, in this case, the characteristic sizes of the holes on each target are determined at each angular position of the projectiles, determine the angle of nutation in accordance with the type of hole based on the comparison of the combination of the triggered photodetector elements with the specified values, determine the zero value of the nutation angle, if the hole has the shape of a circle, while this type of hole is formed in the case of coincidence of the projectile axis with the velocity vector of the center of mass, determination of the value of the nutation angles with an increase in the size of the hole in the direction of the deviation of the projectile axis from the tangent to the trajectory, determining the dynamics of the nutation movement on the basis of measuring the magnitude of the major axis of the hole along the trajectory of the projectiles, additionally determine the shooting conditions, in this case, the shooting modes are defined as "single shooting" or "shooting with a queue", shooting intervals between queues, duration of the queue, record data on the parameters of the flight of shells and shooting modes in the memory block, determine the dependence of the ballistic characteristics of the shells on the shooting conditions.
