FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ground tests, particularly for determination of ballistic characteristics of projectiles. Method comprises measuring velocity of projectile based on locking slots when flying projectiles from two spaced apart non-contact sensors, forming measurement field of non-contact sensors in form of a two-dimensional grid based on implementation structure of non-contact sensors in form of two lines of emitters and photodetectors arranged in vertical and horizontal plane defined by coordinates of flight of projectiles based on fixing a combination of triggered elements photodetectors, defining nutation angles by measuring basic elements of projectile with respect to centre of mass, experimental determination of nutation angles from distance, determining experimental dependence of nutation angles of time and determining nature of angular speed nutation movement, wherein method includes setting on path of projectile a certain number of non-contact sensors and determining characteristic dimensions of holes on each target and type of holes by comparing combination of elements triggered photodetectors with predetermined values. Computer information system for characterisation of dispersion of shells during firing of artillery weapons contains n non-contact sensors, a unit which determines characteristics of ballistic missiles, a signal processing unit and a “Start” button.
EFFECT: technical result of invention is improving information content of definition of parameters of motion of projectiles from centre of mass.
