TUBE CUTTING APPARATUS Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: apparatuses for cutting moving rolled pieces by measured length values in aggregates for continuous shape bending and tube electric welding.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes foundation with columns supporting saw disc for its vertical motion by means of drive unit. Vertical motion drive unit is in the form of hydraulic cylinder having piston, lower and upper rods, two units for supplying working liquid and two end lids. At side of piston rods have variable cross section portions arranged along length of rods. Said portions engage at begin and at end of piston stroke with inner cylindrical surfaces of lids of housing of hydraulic cylinder. The last has outer thread in its upper part. One unit for supplying working liquid (the nearest along height to saw disc) is in housing of hydraulic cylinder; second unit for supplying working liquid is arranged along axis of upper rod of hydraulic cylinder. Upper lid is provided with annular recess whose cylindrical surface has thread engaging with thread on housing of hydraulic cylinder.

EFFECT: enhanced quality of cutting tubes, increased strength of tool due to controllable stroke of piston of hydraulic cylinder and due to possibility for controlling motion speed of saw disc at cutting tubes of any type and size.
