FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: gearing has mutually engaged gear wheels (1) and (2). The body of at least one of the wheels is made of aluminum or aluminum alloy. The teeth are covered with layer (4) made of a wear resistance material, e.g. oxidoceramics. At least the section of engagement and tooth spaces are provided with additional layer (5) made of chrome carbide. The oxidoceramics layer should be 90-220 m in thickness and provided with 8-16% open porosity on the surface which faces the outer chrome carbide layer. The thickness of the chrome carbide layer should be 5-20 m. The faces of the teeth should be provided with additional layer made of oxidoceramics and surface layer made of pyrolytic chrome carbide of 5-20-m thick.
EFFECT: prolonged service life and enhanced reliability.
