Gear wheel includes body, toothed rim with teeth and pair of ring pads with outer diameter equal to diameter of circle of tips of toothed rim, fixed on teeth ends and parts of ends of body adjacent to toothed rim. On sections of roots of teeth width of teeth varies in steps and is inversely proportional to engagement pairing factor. Boundary of change of width is shifted towards bases of teeth by a value of radial clearance for gear.

EFFECT: reduced costs of making gear wheel and high strength of teeth of toothed rim.
