FIELD: satellite positioning systems.

SUBSTANCE: system has client device, at least, one satellite with known position and speed and node station (surface base station) for performing connection to client device through satellite. Method includes determining distance parameter and parameter of speed of change of distance. Distance parameter is a distance between satellite and client device. Parameter of speed of change of distance is a relative radial speed between this satellite and client device. Then, position of client device on Earth surface is determined on basis of distance parameter, distance change speed parameter and known position and speed of satellite.

EFFECT: higher speed of operation.
