FIELD: topography.

SUBSTANCE: there are suggested a system and a method of obtaining an evaluation of a receiver position location on a base of multitude of parameter measurements. Each measurement is obtained from a correlation function which in its turn is got by means of a registering a correlation signal received by the receiver with an identification code thus identifying a transmitter with a unique mode; the said transmitter is located within the visibility range of the receiver. Multitude evaluations of position location are received; at that each of them is received on base of a measurements subset, different from others.

EFFECT: as the best evaluation of the receiver position location one out of many evaluations is chosen on the base of information about a local topography.
