FIELD: communications systems.
SUBSTANCE: system uses technologies for determining position by means of global positioning system and cordless communications for providing for precise determination of position under city conditions or other environments, where vicinity area of satellites is shadowed in certain areas. Device and method include use of signals of only two global positioning satellites and servicing base station. In most broad aspect, method includes stages of receiving of first signal on base station, transmitted from first global positioning satellite, and second signal, transmitted from second global positioning satellite. Transmitter and receiver of mobile station provide for receiving of these global positioning satellites signals, and transmitting of third signal to base station in response. Base station receives third signal and uses it for calculating position of cordless block.
EFFECT: fast, precise and efficient determination of position of mobile phone.
