FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves accessing the articulation cartilage via standard pierces for carrying out arthroscopy and visual examination. Probe having light guide conducting laser radiation beam is introduced into the articulation via arthroscopic cannula. The light guide is connected to laser radiation source another light guide receiving reflected beam and connected to recording instrument. The articulation cartilage is irradiated with laser beam of 0.63 mcm wavelength and radiation power of 10 mW. The diagnosis is set by interpreting readings from instrument sensitive to reflected beam. Laser radiation scattering degree being g≥0.3, norm is to be diagnosed. G<0.3 is interpreted as destructive dystrophic transformation process occurring in articulation cartilage.
EFFECT: high accuracy of diagnosis; high sensitivity of the method.
