SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopaedics, and can be used for arthroscopic treatment of persistent patellofemoral pain syndrome of endoprosthetic knee joint. Knee arthroscopy is performed in fluid medium. Anterior inferolateral port is formed within a lateral soft spot 10 mm below a lower pole of the patella and outside the patellar tendon. Anterior inferior medial port is formed within the medial soft spot 10 mm above the medial joint space and 5-10 mm from the inner edge of the patellar tendon. Instrumentation is introduced into the ports and directed to the intercondylar notch. Performing a modelling resection of the patella using an arthroscopic drill, followed by a lateral release of the lateral patellofemoral ligament, denervation of the patella along its entire surface with the help of an arthroscopic ablator with preserving the integrity of the intact soft tissues and components of the knee joint endoprosthesis.

EFFECT: method provides restoring the normal function of the endoprosthetic knee joint in the treatment of persistent patellofemoral pain syndrome of the endoprosthetic knee joint, complete and non-traumatic elimination of factors of progressive course of patellofemoral pain syndrome due to the fact that during arthroscopy of endoprosthetic knee joint modelling resection of patella is performed with subsequent performance of lateral release of lateral patellofemoral ligament, denervation of patella along its entire circumference and surface with preservation of integrity of intact soft tissues and components of knee joint endoprosthesis.
