FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely traumatology and orthopaedics, and can be used for laser surgery of knee joint chondropathy. Patient undergoes arthroscopy of the knee joint through standard arthroscopic ports. Under arthroscopic control using a light guide with direct and lateral radiation output, laser treatment of damaged cartilage fragments in a chondropathy focus is performed using simultaneous laser exposure of two radiations, one of which has wavelength of 0.97 mcm and power of 3 W, and the second has wavelength of 1.56 mcm and power 5 W. Both radiations are used in pulse-periodic mode, where pulse duration is 100 ms, and period duration is 50 ms. During processing, the light guide is moved with concentric and streak-like motions so that the maximum duration of continuous exposure to radiation on one point does not exceed 2 seconds, and the distance from the point of radiation exit from the light guide to the treated surface of cartilage is 1-2 mm. Treatment is performed until achieving “smoothing” of the unfolded cartilage surface in the chondropathy focus, after which defocused laser irradiation of the entire area of the chondropathy is performed.
EFFECT: method provides processing of fibre-optic cartilage in the chondropathy focus without thermal damage of cartilage and subchondral bone tissues adjacent to the treated area, as well as stimulation of cartilage regeneration in the chondropathy focus due to peculiarities of cartilage processing.
