FIELD: machine engineering, possibly polishing and grinding parts.
SUBSTANCE: petal type disc includes body and sleeve, both mounted on spindle and clamps in the form of two clamping members arranged one opposite to other. One clamp is rigidly joined with body, other clamp is rigidly joined with sleeve. Packs of petals made of abrasive cloth are arranged in radial grooves of clamping members. Sleeve may be moved in axial direction relative to spindle. Radial groves of clamping members are inclined by acute angle to lengthwise axis of disc. Clamping members are mounted on body and on sleeve in such a way that to form common radial grooves providing V-shaped turning of petal packs in their cross section.
EFFECT: improved design, enlarged manufacturing possibilities, increased rigidity of petals in radial direction, enhanced efficiency and quality of working.
