FIELD: mechanical engineering, possible usage for surface reinforcement of working surfaces with their following polishing or burnishing.
SUBSTANCE: device contains reinforcing disk and diamond-abrasive tool with axial displacement of peripheral cutting and reinforcing layers. Diamond-abrasive tool is made in form of collapsible petal circle, consisting of a packet of petals and two flanges. Flanges are utilized to compress the packet of petals with forming of radial waves. Petals are mounted with possible extension in radial direction with their wear for restoration of outer diameter of diamond-abrasive tool. Petals are made by gluing onto the end of stripes of two-sided burnishing sandpaper with forming of rings, which are turned inwards and positioned transversely to rotation axis. Stripes are used with width less than radius, but more than half the radius of combined tool and length, equal to length of its circle.
EFFECT: expanded technological capabilities, increased quality of reinforced layer, increased productiveness of tool, simplified construction of tool.
