FIELD: transport engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to vehicles with electric drive supplied from contact system through current collector. To transmit data through traction current conductor which simultaneously conducts vehicle drive traction current, interruption of transmission of data caused by electric arc appearing between traction current collector at side of vehicle and traction current conductor is prevented. Method of transmission of data Q through traction current conductor 15 comes to the following: at least two identical containing data Q signals with different frequency channels are fed at transmitting side into traction current conductor 15 and control bits are added to transmitted data. In case of appearance of electric arc at receiving side, data of that or those signals are taken for evaluation whose amplitude, as compared with noise signal amplitude S (f) is not lower than ratio required for obtaining definite possibility of appearance of errors in bits.

EFFECT: prevention of errors caused by electric arc between current collector and electric conductor.
