FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the power supply device for rail vehicles. The device has the first electric contact lead (10) for connection of the device to electric mains and the second electric contact lead (21, 22) for connection of the device to the intermediate DC loop (ZK). The rectifier (M1, M2, M3, M4) for operation of the rail vehicle with AC mains through the first filter (2) is connected to the first contact lead (1) and has the module (M) in which the first rectifier (15) through the inverter (16) and the transformer (17) is connected to the second rectifier (18). The first rectifier (15) on its side of AC voltage through the first filter (2) is connected to the first contact lead. The second rectifier (18) on DC side is connected with the second electric contact lead (21, 22). In case of several modules (M) AC contact leads (19, 20) of the first rectifiers (15) are connected in series, and DC contact leads (21, 22) of the second rectifiers are connected in parallel. The electric connection (5) for operation of the rail vehicle with DC mains has the second filter (3) and connects the first electric contact lead (1) to the second electric contact lead (21). The control device (37) for control of operation of the first rectifiers (15) is designed so that to generate AC voltage which compensates alternating electric current which is a disturbing current.

EFFECT: possibility of operation of the device with DC and AC mains.
