DECORATIVE COATING FOR FACES OF CONCRETE PARTS, METHOD OF MANUFACTURE THEREOF, AND A METHOD OF MANUFACTURING CONCRETE PARTS WITH DECORATIVE COATINGS OF FACES Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: manufacture of building materials.

SUBSTANCE: decorative coating for faces of concrete parts contains following components, wt %: Portland cement 56-72, pigment (in case of colored faces of concrete parts) 0.1-6.0, powdered bentonite 1.7-4.3, superplasticizer C-3 based on sodium salt of naphthalenesulfonic acid/formaldehyde condensation product 0.3-0.9, and water 22.8. Method of manufacturing decorative coatings for faces of concrete parts consists in that concentrated aqueous solution of superplasticizer C-3 is loaded in amount 0.3-0.9% of the weight of coating (dry) together with powdered bentonite in amount 1.7-4.3% of the weight of coating and a portion of water constituting 20-25% of its total amount (22.8-36.0% on the weight of coating). Mixture is stirred to achieve homogenous state and then, in case of colored faces, 0.1 to 6.0% of pigment is added. Mixture is further stirred to homogenous state before Portland cement (56-72%) is added, after which mixture is stirred and aged for 10-15 min and, at continuous stirring, remaining portion of water is added. Method of manufacturing concrete parts with decorative coatings on faces consists in that above-defined decorative coating is applied on substrate of mold, after which mold is filled with concrete mix, which is exposed to vibration compaction and then hardened.

EFFECT: improved quality and durability of decorative coatings and concrete parts with these coatings on their faces.
