FIELD: biotechnology, microbiology, biochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method for culturing microorganism Serratia marcescens involves culturing this microorganism in nutrient medium containing the following components, g/l: yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae, 50-150; buffer salts, 1.5, and water, up to 1 l. Culturing is carried out at temperature 28-300C and medium pH value 8.0-8.4 with aeration for 3-5 days. Invention provides simplifying the medium composition, to reduce period for culturing microorganisms, to enhance the yield of chitinase, to reduce cost of medium used for culturing microorganisms.
EFFECT: improved culturing method.
