FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in boiler plants for heating blast air. According to invention, rotating regenerative air heater contains shaft, rotor in form of truncated straight cone fitted on shaft and divided by blind radial partitions into several working sectors accommodating heat exchange surface -packing, fixed casing, base and top of which are closed by covers on which connecting branch pipes are installed to let in and out heat carriers-combustion products and air, and seals. Rotor and fixed casing are made in form of truncated straight cone. Connecting branch pipes to let in cold air and let out cooled combustion products are located on casing cover covering top of truncated straight cone, and connecting branch pipes to feed hot combustion products and remove heated air are installed on cover of casing covering base of truncated straight cone.
EFFECT: improved efficiency in operation and economy of regenerative air heater.
