FIELD: heat-and-power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: air heater can be used in boiler building. Rotating regenerative split-flow air heater has case made in form of cylinder; bases of case are covered with caps. Rotor is made inside case. Rotor is made in form of two similar parts with side cylindrical walls; parts of the case separated from each other by space. Branch pipes for feeding and removing of heating and heated medium are placed onto cylindrical surface of case at the area of rotor's space. Besides the air heater is provided with two vertical ring-shaped partitions, which divide both parts of rotor to peripheral cold and central warm areas. One end of any vertical ring-shaped partition is drawn into space of rotor and is connected with horizontal partition made in form of circular ring to form two supplying channels and one removing channel inside space of rotor. The channels are disposed at the side where heating medium is located. Both parts of rotor are divided by radial partitions to several sectors filled with heat-accumulating padding. Caps of the case are curved to form ring-shaped space above top part of rotor and under lower part of rotor. Side cylindrical wall of any part of rotor is entered inside corresponding top or lower ring-shaped space and is bent to form ring-shaped chamber above heat-accumulating padding of top part of rotor and under heat-accumulating padding of lower part of rotor. Radial partitions are installed in both parts of rotor and they are entered in corresponding top or lower ring-shaped chamber to form transfer passages inside it.

EFFECT: improved efficiency of operation of rotating air heater.
