FIELD: assembly of cartridges of small arms, in particular, pistol cartridges designed for shooting from pistols, submachine guns and other automatic weapon.
SUBSTANCE: the method includes insertion of the bullet in the cartridge case and its overtaking. The novelty is in the fact simultaneously with the bullet overtaking an annular lug is formed on the cartridge case surface with its subsequent calibration in a matrix for provision of conjugation of cartridges to the weapon.
EFFECT: excluded operations for expansion of the cartridge case neck, provided stable fixing of the bullet in the cartridge case, produced uniform conditions of powder burning and reduced quantity of "chambering" operations.
