FIELD: petrochemical; pulp and paper industry; mining and other industries.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is intended for separation of liquid heterogeneous mediums and is dealt with devices for separation of suspensions under action of the centrifugal forces and may be used in petrochemical industry, pulp and paper industry, mining and other industries. The hydrocyclone contains a cylindrical-conical body with a tangential inlet and a coaxially to the body located branch-pipes, a cover with an axial overflow branch-pipe, a ring-type bush with tangential channels of different cross-sections located under the cover. T that the tangential channels on the bush are made with one or several symmetrical coupled nozzles with acute angles of inclination among their axis. At that between a cylindrical wall to which the tangential inlet branch-pipe adjoins, and the external cylindrical surface of the bush there is a ring-type clearance acting as a pressure chamber. In result the hydraulic resistance in the inlet device of the hydrocyclone is considerably reduced and the linear speed of separation of suspension at the inlet of the operational cavity of the apparatus is increased.
EFFECT: the invention allows to reduce the hydraulic resistance in the inlet device of the hydrocyclone and to increase the linear speed of separation of suspension at the inlet of the operational cavity of the device.
