FIELD: plastic working of metals, namely apparatuses for straightening tubes and round rolled rods, possibly short tubes and rods.

SUBSTANCE: straightening machine includes distributing rotary housing with rotation drive unit; straightening rings mounted in bearing assemblies in cartridges and inclined relative to axial line of rotary housing; device for cross shifting of cartridges relative to axial line of housing. Said device is in the form of closed hydraulic circuit including hydraulic cylinders coupled with cartridges with possibility of their cross shifting relative to axis of housing and hydro-mechanical effort converter that may rotate as one piece with housing. Outer drive unit of hydro-mechanical effort converter is arranged on stationary support at one side and at other side it is coupled with converter through non-rotary cage of thrust bearing assembly. Machine is provided with mechanism for preventing rotation of rolled piece and forced motion of rolled piece along feed line. Said mechanism may be floating one with two freedom degrees relative to axial line of rotary housing.

EFFECT: enhanced quality of straightened rolled pieces due to smooth shifting of rings at straightening process.
