FIELD: plastic working of metals, namely processes for straightening round role d stock.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of straightening rolled piece by means of variable-sign elasto-plastic bending of it with use of cartridges subjected to positive rotation and carrying straightening members mounted in bearing assemblies. Cartridges are arranged at providing their eccentricity relative to straightening axis in rotation housing, they are spaced one relative to other and inclined by predetermined angle relative to straightening axis. Total range of size and type of rolled stock is separated by groups. Separate sets of calibrated straightening members whose size and mutual distances are selected according to relationships given in claims of invention are used for each group.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of straightening.
