FIELD: packing equipment, particularly for wrapping food products.

SUBSTANCE: method involves forming the first sheet of wrapping material having the shape corresponding to that of product to be packaged; placing product on the first sheet; covering the first sheet and product with the second sheet; connecting the first and the second sheets along perimeters thereof with forming wrapper closed around product; additionally forming the first and the second sheets connected one to another. The first sheet additionally formed has configuration corresponding to that of product to be packaged and substantially fully receives above product. The second sheet applied to the first one is flat at least in central region surrounded by peripheral region. The wrapper formed by above method is made as box for product.

EFFECT: provision of product storage in air-tight conditions, maintaining accurate product location inside packaging box, possibility of easy product removal from wrapper.
