FIELD: containers, packaging elements or packages, specially adapted for packing cigarettes.

SUBSTANCE: rigid cigarette box of parallelepiped shape has cup-like lower container for supporting cigarette pack group and cup-like upper closure connected with lower container by at least one preliminary weakened tear line. Tear line extends along two parallel vertical side walls facing each other and along vertical front wall to divide each vertical wall into corresponding lower part forming container part and remainder upper part forming closure part. Each cigarette pack is arranged in box so that larger side wall of cigarette pack is parallel to above front wall. Tearing line is located at the first height along vertical side walls and extends downwards to the second height less than the first one. The box is produced of flat blank having two longitudinal fold lines and several transversal fold lines defining the first wall corresponding to lower box wall and located between above longitudinal fold lines, the second wall corresponding to the first side wall of the box, the third wall corresponding to upper box wall and the forth wall corresponding to the second side wall of the box. The forth wall has the first extension and the second extension located at opposite surfaces thereof and corresponding accordingly to front and rear box walls. The second and the forth walls and the first extension comprise corresponding sections of tear line.

EFFECT: improved cigarette packs visibility, possibility of free cigarette packs removal from box and improved ability to cigarette packs holding in the box.
