FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in systems to control and protect load-lifting boom cranes from overloads, damages and dangerous approach to electric power lines. According to first design version, control of clearance light or headlight of crane is provided by connecting them to outputs of boom head controller. Control signals to clearance light and headlight from control members connected to control inputs of corresponding controller of safety system are supplied along multiples communication line to controller of boom head. Device to implement proposed version of method has controller of boom head which is furnished with additional output to connect it with clearance light or headlight of boom head. Device is furnished also with boom head clearance light or headlight control member connected to control input of other safety system controller located out of the limits of extensible section of boom and two-wire cable drum to transmit supply voltage and control signals by means of which supply output and boom head controller communication line are connected with said output of other controller of crane safety system. According to other design version, control over clearance light is done by connecting it to boom head controller. With safety system de-energized, supply voltage is fed to said controller and signals in communication line are checked by means of said controller and clearance light is switched on at no said signals. In device to implement the version, boom head controller is provided with additional output connected to clearance light. Device is furnished with two-wire cable drum to transmit supply voltage and control signals by means of which supply output and communication line of boom head controller are connected with said like outputs of other controllers of crane safety system. Voltage to cable drum is applied through OR circuit whose inputs are connected to safety system supply circuit and clearance light control members. Boom head controller is made for revealing presence of control signals in communication line for switching clearance light at no signals in communication line. Multiplex communication line is used in said design version.

EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities of system owing to provision of control of clearance light or headlight.
