FIELD: compounds of platinum group metals, in particular palladium nitrate.
SUBSTANCE: palladium is dissolved in nitric acid in presence of chlorine ions. Beforehand palladium is treated with 15 g/l solution of hydroxylamine hydrochloride at ratio solid/liquid = 1:(2-3). Further palladium is washed with water by decantation at ratio palladium/water of 1:2. Washed palladium is dissolved in nitric acid to produce palladium nitrate with concentration of 195-210 g/l. Content of chlorine-ion in solution is less than 0.1 mg/ml, dissolution duration is 45-50 min. Unlike prior art adding of hydrochloric acid to nitric acid solution to dissolve palladium is not accomplished by hazard exhaust.
EFFECT: environmentally friendly method.
