METHOD FOR COMPLEX EXTRACTION OF GROUP 1 AND GROUP 8 METALS Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC C01G55/00

Abstract RU 2692341 C1

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to inorganic chemistry, particularly to production of concentrates of precious metals – gold, silver, platinum group metals – platinum, palladium from tailing dumps. Described is a method of complex extraction of metals 1 and 8 of a group of dump ores of ferruginous quartzites from tailing dumps by separation of gangue from productive ore for reduction of its volume, further separation of quartz component from metal mineralization, dissolving metallic mineralization and separating from the product solution by depositing an alkali metal concentrate in the form of an Al2O3 and BaO2 mixture, obtaining gold-containing powder and platinum group metals powder with separation of rare and non-ferrous metals black powder and dilution of salt composition with process water to limit concentration without metal impurities, wherein after separation of waste rock, aggressive components are washed in agitating device and heated to 20–40 °C an aqueous solution of a copolymer of poly-N,N-dialyl-3,4 dimethylene pyrrolidinium halogenide with average molecular weight 800,000–1,000,000 g/mol with acrylic acid CH2=CH-COOH

Where R1 and R2 denote, independently of each other, a linear or branched alkyl with 1–6 carbon atoms, and An = Cl-, F-, Br-, I-, H2BO3-, H2PO4-, SO3OH-, BF4-, where m = 5–8 mol. % with subsequent washing, drying the mass to moisture content of 10–20 % and further bacterial oxidation of Fe2O3 and Fe3O4 using Ferroplasma+Leptospirillum together with removal of oxide films using self-formed in ore mass H3PO4, after which the obtained hydrated mineralized mass is mixed in water, heated to 37–40 °C for 3 days for 35 minutes each with replacement of biota, with unloading and obtaining first concentrate in form of quartz component, second concentrate – in form of filtered, washed with hydrochloric acid and dried sediment of alkali metals, third concentrate – in form of obtained from productive solution baked gold-containing powder with addition of dry sodium sulphite solution by purification with aqueous solution of nitric acid with additive of 10 wt% hydrochloric, and to the remaining productive solution containing platinum group metals, adding aqueous ammonia to pH 11.5–12 and filtering the precipitate, then adding 5 % hydrochloric acid until complete dissolution and precipitation of orange-yellow precipitate of trans-dichlorodiammine paladate and chloramminoplatinate concentrate, which is washed with hydrochloric acid 5 %, filtered, dried, fired at 900–1,200 °C, and platinum group metals powder is deposited for refining, and flushing nitrate purification water of gold-containing powder is added to washing hydrochloric acid waters with platinum group metals to obtain silver chloride.

EFFECT: obtaining of precious and nonferrous and rare metals concentrates from dump ores of ferruginous quartzites from tailing dumps due to complete dissolution of mineralization of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, separation of quartz component, spontaneous disposal of mass fraction of components contaminating productive solution.
