FIELD: activated mineral clay powders and desiccation methods for production thereof.

SUBSTANCE: microporous mineral clay powder is obtained from smectite clays of natural humidity (e.g. natural Na-bentonite, alkaline activated Ca-bentonite), as well as from activated laminar clay mixtures dried by shortcut desiccation method and crushed. Powder has particle size of 0.1 mm, density of 900-1200 kg/m3, grain specific surface of 0.25-0.5 m2/cm3, and contains 7-12 mass % of water and 0.5-3.5 mass % of Na2O. Method for shortcut desiccation of smectite clays with natural humidity up to certain final humidity to produce microporous mineral powder mentioned above is also provided. Method includes moisture removal in drier during 15 min or less at temperature not more than 850C; and breaking to loose initial structure.

EFFECT: mineral powder-based material for wall manufacturing with improved quality.
