FIELD: aircraft engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to dust traps designed for protection of gas-turbine engines with side air supply to compressor and installed on flying vehicle. Proposed inertia-type dust trap is made in form of curvilinear channel formed by upper and lower curvilinear walls with initial contraction section and following diffuser section. Flow divider installed at outlet of diffuser section forms, together with lower and upper walls, respectively, clean air channel and dust concentrate channel. Contours of each cross section of channels of dust trap are formed by two arcs of concentric and two bridges between arcs closing the contour.
EFFECT: provision of compact dust trap with side supply of air to compressor.
