FIELD: nondestructive inspections of materials and parts in mechanical engineering using radiation method.
SUBSTANCE: laser localizer that has means for indicating focal length in the form of pointer and scale incorporates single-ended radiation output laser. Optical circuit is set up of two reflectors, two cylindrical lenses, and beam splitter mounted in front of laser on its optical axis to convey laser beam to second reflector. First reflector is set in rotary motion relative to axis aligned with normal to first reflector and located beyond zone of projection of X-ray radiator output window by means of electromechanical or any other drive disposed beyond X-ray beam propagation zone. Frequency of rotation is chosen from condition n ≥ k ·(tc)-1, where n is frequency of rotation, Hz; tc is roentgenogram exposure time; k = 10 - 20 is factor.
EFFECT: facilitated servicing of laser localizer.
